Building a reliable writing habit is hard.

There are many days when you’re too busy or stressed, and the words will not flow like they once did. “Just write,” people will tell you, but it isn’t that easy. You wish it could be. You would have finished that first draft if just write worked.

I crank out 2–5k words a day. More, if I’m feeling it. But it wasn’t easy in the beginning; I struggled with getting a few hundred words on the page in a day. That is no longer a problem.
