No matter how hard you work, the world will push against you. This is true for work, school, relationships — there will always be something unexpected that pops out of the shadows and makes life unfair.

I am bitter. More often than I would like to admit.

When I was a child, I had a teacher make fun of my drawing and take me around to other classrooms to ask other teachers what my punishment should be for my work as I cried beside her.

Even still, no one paid attention. No one cared.

Other people have wronged you, didn’t understand, and never cared to listen. Most are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice. But, if you find yourself being weighed down by bitterness, there is a way to let go of the past and start living again.
